Scheme of Building Grants, including Studio Theatres

SCHEME OF BUILDING GRANTS, INCLUDING STUDIO THEATRES
Applications are invited from voluntary cultural organizations and government-aided cultural organizations for assistance under the modified building grants scheme, reintroduced on 07.01.2011, as the “Scheme of Building Grants, including Studio Theatres”. ‘Studio Theatre’ is a new component that has just been introduced, under which small spaces for theatre and other performing arts could be created, with 60% government assistance (going upto ~ 50 lakhs in Metro Cities and ~ 25 lakhs in others).
Details of the scheme and instructions for applicant organizations can be viewed at the website of the Ministry of Culture: www.indiaculture.nic.in All applications should be addressed to “Section Officer (Performing Arts),
Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Central Secretariat Library (Ground Floor), Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi-11 0115”, and should be sent alongwith complete enclosures by Speed Post or Registered Post only. “Application

Creating Job Creators

ICreateInc., started in 1999, as a non-profit, in a limited locality in India, to help the disadvantaged who could not get a job and joined the ranks of unemployed or worse, I Create has now become a major movement in India with five full centers (as of December 2009) and hundreds of affiliations. Like minded people have come to the fore to support the ideal of helping the disadvantaged become job creators instead of job seekers.

I Create has developed two main streams for accomplishing the task it has undertaken: “Creating Job Creators” and “Changing the Mindset: Entrepreneurship as a Career Option”
