Custom Designed Wheel Chairs

Our Mission

We leverage the internet to bring mobility and build futures for people with disabilities in developing countries.

Our Work

We help partners in developing countries provide the right wheelchairs. Wheelchairs so children can become mobile and active in their communities. Wheelchairs that are just right for each child’s needs. Because the wrong wheelchair can promote many complications like skin breakdown, dislocated hips, spinal deformities, respiratory problems, and less independence.

National Entrepreneurship Network

The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), founded in 2002, is a not-for-profit initiative of the Wadhwani Foundation, working to inspire, educate and support the next generation of high-growth entrepreneurs in India.

NEN was co-founded by five of India’s premier academic institutions: IIT Bombay; IIM Ahmedabad; SP Jain Institute, Bombay; IBAB, Bangalore and BITS Pilani. Over the past three years, NEN’s focus on introducing a new paradigm in entrepreneurship education in India — and its innovative method of doing so — has made it its leading catalyst on campuses across India.

NEN’s ultimate goal is to help launch thousands of new entrepreneurs, who in turn will create hundreds of thousands of much-needed valuable jobs for India.

Changemakers

Changemakers is an initiative of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public that focuses on the rapidly growing world of social innovation. It provides solutions and resources needed to help everyone become a changemaker and presents compelling stories that explore the fundamental principles of successful social innovation around the world.

Changemakers is building the world’s first global online “open source” community that competes to surface the best social solutions, and then collaborates to refine, enrich, and implement those solutions. Changemakers begins by providing an overarching intellectual framework for collaborative competitions that bring together individual social change initiatives into a more powerful whole.

To keep the framework dynamic, the online Changemakers’s community identifies and selects the best solutions and helps refine them. The result is global action frameworks, drawing on the work of social entrepreneurs, that seed collaborative action and visibility on a global scale — making a big difference, field by field.
