IMPETUS 2010 in its 3rd year now at SPCE, Bhavans Campus Andheri . Starting 27th March 2010 . We have a 12 weekend program on Business Ideation to Business Plans.

This year the program is opened for practising entrepreneurs and students from other insitutes having NEN recognised e-cell.

The program starts from 27th March Saturday at SP College of Engineering , Bhavans Campus , Andheri . It will run till Mid-May. Its on all Fri/ Saturday. This program is the advanced modules to the one we had for WZCC.

Certification will be provided by NEN ( National Entrepreneurship Network ) . The cost is a nominal 2000/- to cover the cost of lunch and tea for all the twelve weekends.

Nandita Lakshmanan, the feisty founder and CEO of public relations company, The PRactice, should know why it is a myth.

Nandita, who started a public relations company The PRactice in the year 2000 with just Rs 35,000 — with which she bought a computer — and three employees, has made it into a “mid-sized company with a substantial turnover” with 85 employees in a decade since then. And she did it without any venture capital funding or any angel investor handholding the company or providing loads of cash to bankroll her expansion plans.

This is the best time for small and medium IT & Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) companies to start, as the cost of becoming an entrepreneur is shrinking two times than what it was five years back, said Sachin Vinod Rathi, Architect Adviser, Microsoft India.

He was speaking at a conference on “Future of India’s IT & ITES Sector; Evolving Business Models for Sustained Growth” organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Punjab Infotech in New Delhi recently.

Logo Contest – UIDAI

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has been established by the Government of India to assign unique numbers to all residents of India. The role that the UIDAI envisions is to issue a unique identification number (UID) that can be verified and authenticated in an online, cost-effective manner, and that is robust enough to eliminate duplicate and fake identities.

The UIDAI invites proposals from the public for the logo. If a particular logo is found appropriate and selected by the UIDAI, it would carry a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh to the sender of the logo. Consolation prizes of Rs.10,000 would also be provided.
